흥미로운 성경구절

엘리사는 그 곳을 떠나 베델로 올라갔다. 그가 베델로 가는 도중에 아이들이 성에서 나와 "대머리야, 꺼져라. 대머리야, 꺼져라." 하며 놀려대었다.
엘리사는 돌아서서 아이들을 보며 야훼의 이름으로 저주하였다. 그러자 암곰 두 마리가 숲에서 나와 아이들 사십이 명을 찢어 죽였다.
열왕기하 2장 23-24절(공동번역판)

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

대머리라고 놀리자 곰 두마리를 소환하여 아이들을 찢어 죽였다는 다소 충격적인 성경구절이다.
여기서 중요한 점은 대머리는 고대(B.C 9세기경) 중동에서도 놀림감이었다는 점이며(....)
무엇보다도 곰 두마리를 소환하는 능력을 갖고 있더라도 탈모는 못고쳤다는 점이다. (.....)
